As Head of Workplace Operations (m/f/d), you own the on-the-ground experience of our sites, from the moment someone walks through the front door to the way the building runs behind the scenes. You lead 2 teams at our German HQ: Front Desk & Hospitality and Facility Management. Furthermore you carry responsibility across multiple sites. Beyond your own locations, you give guidance and "handrails" to national and international subsidiaries, so that all sites share a consistent image and common standards. You report to the Director People & Talent, and work in close collaboration with the internal global Real Estate Expansion team to turn group-wide standards into reliable execution everywhere Agile Robots operates.
Your Responsibilities
Lead the team
Lead, coach and develop the Front Desk & Hospitality and Facility Management Team Leads and their teams (approx. 13 people combined)
Build out the team as the function grows across sites
Be the first point of escalation for workplace incidents and operational issues
Oversee Front Desk & Hospitality
Set standards and quality expectations for reception, guest services, catering, amenities, and travel bookings
Ensure consistent delivery across 7+ German sites
Oversee Facility Management
Own accountability for safety & emergency management, office infrastructure, sustainability & energy management, car fleet, company apartments, maintenance & repairs, move managament, and vendor relationships
Ensure consistent standards and quality across 7+ German sites
Lead across multiple sites
Take operational responsibility for workplace services across 7+ sites in Germany from offices to R&D Labs and production sites
Give guidance and "handrails" to national and international subsidiaries, so that front desk, facility and workplace services follow a consistent image and shared standards group-wide
Act as the standards and quality reference point that subsidiary teams can turn to for workplace and facility topics
Partner across the organization
Work hand in hand with the Real Estate Expansion Team to translate global Real Estate strategy and expansion decisions into consistent execution across sites and subsidiaries.
Work with People & Talent on workplace-related aspects of the employee experience.
Essential Skills
Min. 3 years of experience in managing Team Leads or managers (not individual contributors)
Min. 7 years of experience in facility and office management
Experience setting or rolling out standards, guidelines or governance frameworks across a multi-site or multi-entity organization
Experience with vendor management and budget or cost control
English and German working proficiency
Willingness to travel to other sites and subsidiaries (currently mostly within southern Bavaria); in this context driver’s license
Comfortable operating in a fast-growing, international robotics and technology environment
